Guess what? Im planning a trip to USA after i finish serving my time in the army. Probably 2-3months of vacation and hopefully being able to land an internship deal with FBR. It’ll probably take the toll of our savings but i guess it’ll be all worth it. I mean, after all, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thankfully my buddy JR is in too. He said that he wants to experience such things before he settles down for a life in Singapore like most of us do. Same goes for me. It’ll be cool. Maybe if possible, join the warped tour and have a ton load of fun. :D If you’re keen, start saving up now!!!! I’m trying to get maybe 2 more people on this insane expedition. We’re looking for 2 homiessss!
All i need now is to find friends in the States whom we can bunk in with when we travel from town to town! If you know of anyone studying there, lemme know! wooooooo.

so many bandsssssssssss for us to see hahahaha naisss

headed town with S for a movie. Caught “A Christmas Carol”. It wasssssss pretty average. We had fun though. Walked down the street and everywhere was just a scene. The brilliant lighting set up is amazing. Cept the atmosphere would be complete if there were snow. I can already feel the christmas mood even tho there’s a month left to go.
On another note, i’ll be booking out on wed this week! Long holiday! Anyone wanna hang? Damn i wanna do some photoshooottttttt. I’m currently very broke. I’m intending to get a lighting equipment called “Alien Bee”. Lots of photographers in the States use them for strobing. However it cost about 500 for one and usually a photog uses 2 or more. I need moooolahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. We’ll seeeee!
lastly, i got SILVER for IPPT! thank God for that. I couldn’t do any pullups when i first joined the army. Now i can do 8. It’s a huge achievement for me. Keep going Glenn. Ayye see you little kidzzz in a bit.
DEAR SABRINA TAN, THANKS FOR THAT FUNNY POST ON YOUR BLOG HAHA. Okay i’m going to be late for book in so here’s a short one. Sat night was spent with Fiona Calvin Mae & Veronica @ Timbre. 4th Anniversary with many amazing bands. For more pictures go to my flickr at www.flickr.com/glenntaubenfeld
Bands that took the stage; Electrico, West Grand Boulevard, EIC, Reverie, 53A, Goodfellas, Firefight, Fatskunks.

yay to checked shirtsssssssss and two drunk girls hahahahahahah.
Saturday was sucha kickass night. It started off with dinner with the guys at Billy Bombers. Free dinner thanks to the SAFRA promotion hahahah. Then i brought them to support the Repose at the Lounge. A short 45mins acoustic set but was pretty much fun for everyone.
And oh, my friend Calvin is out with his side project, an acoustic EP with 4 brilliant songs. Only at 5 bucks each! Tell me if you wanna grab em!

anyhow, we head out to Timbre for the rest of the part. It was amazingggggggggg. While queueing up, i updated my status on Facebook saying “Queueing up at Timbre Substation!” Minutes later, some random person stood in front of me and i looked up. Turns out it’s Sara!! hahahahah. I saw that she commented on my status at the later part that she’s here. No wonder she came to look for me. Sadly, she almost couldn recognize me due to the fact that i got really tanned now plus i was wearing a cap.
It was such a night. Seeing familiar faces. The Goodfellas never let us down. :) I’m going back there again sooooon!
Till then, hope you’re doing okay and having fun in your life. you’re missed! :D
Its over. Over. Yes field camp is finally over. It has been a pretty long six days week and i’m appreciating every little thing in my home. From the water, to the electricity, to the comfy bed etc. It wasn’t that tough but rather, more of not being able to adapt the jungle life. However on the lighter note, there were parts where it lifted the spirit. The amazing clear moonlit starry sky. The stars were so many i couldn’t even count. It’s by far the most gorgeous night sky i’ve seen. Also, field cooking with people you enjoy. Eating together, cooking the instant noodles. These little things kept me going and i’m proud to say i’ve conquered field camp! yay me.
All of us have dreams. Big, small, ambitious, humbled ones. Here’s my uncompleted story. As the clock ticks and every minute falls away, i’m closer to the crossroad. As we grow older, and out of our teenage years, we need to make a very important decision. To how we’re gonna spend the rest of our lives. I want to walk this world with my camera. Take pictures and work in different parts of the world. So that when i’m old i can show to my kids and grandkids and great grand kids the places i’ve been to.
Then again, it brings me back to the constrained perspective of the Singaporean life. We’re all trapped. Fear. Money. Family. Bonds. We cannot simply leave. My immediate future is at stake. I’m into photography. And i’m considering between getting a degree in UNISIM or going to Laselle for a photography course. It concerns my future. The realness of reality is getting into me. I’m losing it. I need to think. And i need help. I’m damn sure i wouldn’t want to spend the rest of this life behind a desk. It is not myself and i refuse to accept it. It is my future, i have the ability to carve it out. And i will.
I need to seriously start saving up for the roadtrip at the end of the NS. I’ll probably need a break and just go on a holiday for a bit. It’ll be awesome. Now i need to find holiday mates. Fun ones. Anybody?
You don’t need fancy weekends or happening lifestyles to be contented. Somehow, just being with people you love & care is enough. Today was one of those. Met Sabrina for a secret photography expedition. (i don’t know why i used the word secret) I bought an instant cheapo camera from Fujifilm along with my DSLR. Felt like some tourist hahahah.

a very cool shop in Haji Lane,

See that thing Sabrina’s holding, its the childhood styrofoam plane we used to play when we were young. It cost 50cents only and it made us happy flying it. hahahah. I bought a harmonica for a dollar even though i don’t know how to play it. However, im intending to bring it along whenever i go for band practice. ?D
Then met yingying & melvintage for dinner at THAI EXPRESS. The food is fantastic. I love Thai food. It’s in the blood definitely. hahahah. these 2 friends are always arguing over little pointless things. It’s just plain funny watching them. And then we went to watch Halloween 2 which pretty much failed. Only part that’s interesting is the chocolate ying bought from Candy Empire. The chocolate “pops” in your mouth, creating a tingling sensation along with some noise i can’t describe. Everytime the movie comes to a silent scene, i’ll hear the popping noise LOLOL.
It’s a good day and im going to bed. goodnight online community.
“I remember what you wore on the first day, you came into my life and i thought hey”
fwello jellow everybody im back for a bit and guess what there’s so much on my mind. This week is a pretty heavy one. We had many different trainings and i finally had the chance to try putting camo cream on my face. Anyway all these are classified so here’s the main thing that kept the atmosphere low. Guard Duty.
One of my good bunkmates, Seb, was down for it and it sucks for that to happen. We were all so paranoid and fearful that we might be down for it because next week we’ll be going for our field camp which means we won’t have time to rest if we are down for duty. Well, i’m beginning to see the true colours of people around me. Friends who i know i can keep and friends i know i won’t want to. Yeah.
And im slowly beginning to find myself back.
Anyhow, i just read my goodie friend’s blog and i wanna encourage her! Don’t worry about the future that has been planned by the Most High. We’ll all live our life on the edge, filled with excitement and adventure. So, take a step back and look up, to the brightest sky, and know that we’re walking this earth, with the passion of life :D i know it may sound cheesy but whatever. gotta go meet some friends so bye!!
PS: the post title is a song and my whole platoon is loving it :D:D:D:D go find out what song is that. bye.

Shopped today at ION Orchard. Damn i missed Carrie Underwood. The stage was amazing but the location was shit much. Admission to the front of the stage was by tix only. Lameeeeeeee. And the free admission was to the front of the LED screen. WTP right. ZZZZZ. I didn’t bother to go so i went to shop with Nelson & Greg. Quite happy we bought nice shirtsss from FleshImp. Then i met JR for some night photography mission at Clark Quay. I think im losing touch in the hobby due to not being able to shoot as often as before. Anyhow hope you like the shots. Visit my flickr yeah! Spread the love for me and i’ll totally be your best friend ha ha ha.
Signing off,
Glennnnnnnnnnnnzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeee.

The first night of the weekend was spent hanging out with these brothers of mine. Jaguar Coy Platoon 3 Section 3! It was an amazing night. Suffer together, play together, sleep together.
